Project scope:
This Cabinet Gorge Dam project in Idaho involved upgrading of a Bedford powerhouse 275 Ton Gantry Crane which included replacing the original buss system with a new Conductix buss system with all new collector arm supports and collector shoes. KCS replace the brakes, added a Microdrive clutch system and aligned main hoist drive system. KCS designed, engineered and fabricated a 600 ton spreader beam to facilitate load testing operations. The system was load tested to 125% of capacity (340 tons) with concrete test weights in an extremely tight location.
